Amanda watched Michelle as she said that, "All I can tell you is that I found her wandering in the Everglades." she replied, "Have you been in touch with Alexa in the past few weeks?"

Mich felt taken aback. "Glades? Really?" Michelle breathed.
"I...uh...haven't been in touch with her for years. Just met her twin sis after years of not seeing her. All I know is that there were an explosion back in NYC and they both got hurt in the explosion. They used to be detectives at NYPD and worked as a CSIs for Crime Lab there. Samanta and Alexandra were helping in chasing suspect when the building exploded near them. Sam woke up some time later after being into coma. After recovery she moved to Miami. But they couldn't find Alex. Not police nor FBI. We started to look for her but nothing helped." she blurted out in frustration.

Amanda nodded as she listened to Mich as she spoke, "What were they working on?" she asked

Mich scratched her head "Ah... I think they were chasing a suspect through the city. I know there was this shop robbery gone bad and then there was a man witnessed close to crime scene so they went to check with Flack but the guy fled the scene and they were chasing him. And when only twins were on the chase one of the buildings they passed by exploded." Mich told hurriedly. "Could there be a possibility of the guy running exactly there on purpose?" the CSI inside her bugged on.

Alexa was laying on her bed wondering what that mysterious girl was. It was too obvious she knew her. Only if she could remember...

Amanda listened to Mich as she said that to her, "I am not sure, but I will look into it." she replied

Mich sighed frustrated.
She looked at the room where her childhood friend was.
"What's wrong with her? Is she ok?" with a slight hint of tears Michelle asked the other woman.

"She was found wandering in the Everglades." Amanda replied

"Oh, poor girl." Michelle's eyes widened. "Did doctors said something? Is she injured?"

Amanda nodded, "From what I have been able to determine she was in a fight with someone and was then restrained in some fashion."

"Poor girl." Mich said breathlessly "Did the doctors checked her already?"

"Yes they did" Amanda replied

"Is she injured? Why she seems so...so different?" Michelle asked, looking through small window, built in door. The girl on the other side of the glass looked like a deer caught in headlights. So fragile, so scared. And her expression when Mich flew into that room. So confused. Like she's some kind of stranger to her. But she wasn't. They were friends. Childhood friends.

Amanda sighed abit, "She's having memory problems" she said gently

Mich's eyes widened "Oh."
She swallowed a lump. "I... I..." she suddenly was at the loss of words.

Amanda watched her, "Can I get you anything?" she asked

"Um... I don't know. I'm so confused. I think I better call to my brother at lab so he can take a look at some files. We were trying to find something about Alexa just hours ago, before I left. Maybe they're still with all those files." Mich sighed looking at Alexa through window. She just hoped everything will be alright with the girl.

Meanwhile Alexa got bored in her room and found the other girl's bag at her bed's leg. She curiously took it and, sneaking a glance out into hallway, started to inspect its contents.
There was one really tiny laptop, thick notebook with fair amount of personalization, a cell phone with fancy looking skin over its back and front bezel, funny looking pen, hair brush, scissors, small casing that looked familiar, another simply looking notebook, few bottles of medication that also seemed familiar, some old looking book in foreign language, picture frame with photo of a group of people embracing all together like very close friends, another small casing but this one looked rather different and finally laptop charger plug mixed with scarf and headphones. Alexa took a closer look at photo when a pack of cigarettes fell out of another pocket, secret pocket. Touching it she found several more and suddenly a hasty idea hit her.
She put the bag away and inspected the photo and people in it. Somewhere in the middle she spotted two identical looking girls. Alexa grabbed the mirror and looked in it. Then at the girls...

Suddenly a loud crashing sound echoed through her room...

The sound startled her but after a moment girl reached for the bag...
